Ownahincha. St Patrick's Day - March 17th 2007.

There was a good crowd in attendance, and the weather could have been a lot worse than it was. Disappointingly, entries were slack in some grades, and the defection of Coalford Victory was a pity. He's The Man's win puts him only one behind Glan Teifi, who has been left off. Noreen McSweeney further stretched her lead in the jockey title stakes.

4 horses ran -- S.P. 2/5 Fav, 8/1, 6/1, 5/2. Dist.: 2 1/2l, 8l.

He's The Man was never headed. Newtown Commander got a bad start, and then showed an unusual lack of fluency at one of the turns. Coalford James, however, turned the last really well, and looks to be coming back to his previous good form.
