• What a fantastic day this was!. The All-Ireland was indeed a classic with the cheering starting as they turned into the last circuit; the winner of the handicap final was dazzling and the three-year-olds was perhaps the best ever seen in Cork. The weather held and the atmosphere was brilliant. It was extremely well organised and well-stewarded and Tim Kelleher outdid himself with his commentary. Four drivers, Mike Kelleher, Tadhg Murphy, Pat Manning and Kieran Sheehy each recorded a double over the two days.

• Galiano and The Blue Fox broke before the start, which was then a false start. Flashdance led them off, followed by Home Ambrose. Galiano was pulled up after 2f. Zidane challenged the leader early but he was displaced by Wizard with 5fto go. Tom then arrived and went head to head with Flashdance. He had to give best while Wizard renewed his challenge to great effect.

• Blackfield Scoolt broke at the start while Ayr Strike led until about halfway. CP Fantasy was in close contention but Springfield Chief was creeping closer. He tussled with Ayr Strike and on the back straight for the last time, took charge. Mister Hill got moving but left himself a lot to do; however, once he went to the front, Chief never looked in any danger.

• Mass Attack was first away; Matt's Mission soon took it up. Toys came late and did just enough to win.

• Blackfield Scoot led from the start. Snatch gave chase and looked the biggest threat until he lost gait after a head to head with She's What Matters. The Orient Express ran well while Snatch got back into things to fill the frame.

• Stoneriggs UK led for over half, with Damota Warrior in close touch. At the business end, Mister Hill powered up to dominate.

• Meadowbranch Jake took over from Better By Design in the early stages; he stayed in front until 2f from home when Ayr Strike took charge. But Peak's Pretender was always in touch and forged clear on the run-in.

• Stoneriggs Quail was prominent early on and fended off C.P. Fantasy. Going into the second lap. CP was in front but Chief made his move on the back stretch and went on to win as he liked.

• A great contest between two tough cookies. Cherry Hall set the pace, with All In tracking her. He got on terms and they went neck and neck. Finally, All In pulled back but it was only for a breather and late on the run-in, renewed his challenge. A good performance, in third, by the less-experienced Hi-Ho, while Lakeview Security (4th) did not seem happy on the going.

• At flagfall, Coalford Jet went to the front and stayed there. Disraeli Quest (5/4 2nd fav.) uncharacteristically broke at the f irst turn and took some time to settle. Stoneriggs UK looked as if he might be a challenge but faded. I'mindoubletrouble tried hard but could not close, while CD's Boy ran well for third.
