Dylan Ryan took charge from the start. Ringo Star lost gait briefly at the start, while Magical Shadow did so early on, but never settled after. Perfect Fella and Red Armbro were in contention right away but could not close. Getting serious, Red Armbro looked the main threat but Ringo Star finished the stronger.

The Blue Finch led from the start with Dan The Man always in close touch. Getting serious, Midnight Mover looked as if he might play a hand in the finish. Thomas Grey challenged late while Dan The Man got on terms with The Blue Finch in the dying strides.

What A Man finally showed his true colours here. Brywins Charvis tried to make all but could not shake off Southlands Merlin. What A Man began to creep closer while Disraeli Quest seemed to fade. The winner reeled in Brywins Charvis on the run-in while Disraeli Quest rallied.

Crown Direct was in front for most, and was closely chased by Coalford Jet. With just over 1f to go, Bonkers forged clear. Destiny's Dream also made his move while Papa Joe did not stir himself in time. Bonkers looked home and hosed and seemed to have been caught on the hop.
