Race 1. Maiden. 500 Euro.

Race Time:2:16 -- Start Time: 14:45

Also Ran: Thady's Pride (S.Jennings), Hillside Security (P.Hill), The Busman (M.Goggin), Young Clemancy (J.Manning) -- S.P. 2/1, 3/1, 6/4 Fav. Dist.: Neck, 3L.

Howard's Lady led from the start. Posh Paddy was hard at work throughout most, and finally got his neck in front in the closing stages.

Race 2. Maiden/Novice. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:22 -- Start Time: 15:00

Also Ran: Milly's Dream (D.Brickley), Current Supreme (B.Twomey) -- S.P. 5/2, 6/1, 6/4 Fav. Dist.: 1L, 1/2L.

There was a false start in this, in which Tiler's Joy came to grief after the off (but she and driver were okay). In the re-start, Tina's Dream led them off while Milly's Dream was unsettled. It also has to be said that highly-strung Matty O was uneasy. Tina's Dream led until heading for the last bend when patient handling got Matty O relaxed enough to take over.

Race 3. Novice/Improver. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:17 -- Start Time: 15:20

Also Ran: Dreamland (J.Manning Snr), Merrington JR (K.Sheehy), Snatch (T.Murphy) -- S.P. 4/1, 6/1, 2/1. Dist.: 1L, 1/2L.

In this, Dreamland led them off, but soon went off stride, leaving Goldwell to take it up. But Briwyn's Jarvis, giving chase, and in rein to his super cool driver, always looked the winner. A decent performance here by Clodagh's Choice, and by Enorm Girl, who always seems to make things hard for herself. Favourite, Snatch, never got into the hunt.

Race 4. Intermediate. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:14 -- Start Time: 15:40

Also Ran: Sable Decision (D.Murphy), Only Still (M.Goggin) -- S.P. 3/1, 3/1, 6/4 Fav. Dist.: 6L, Neck.

Trotter, Only Still, leading until nearly half-way, looked the part until she came off stride. No Better Buachaill took over briefly, but going into the last lap, Ayr Strike, showing the form which saw him winning the 3-Y-O at Caheragh last year, sailed to the front and go on to win as he liked. Hillside Dream did very well indeed to finish in the frame, as he had been severely incommoded by Only Still going off stride.

Race 5. 000/005. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:13 -- Start Time: 15:55

Also Ran: Searchlight (T.Murphy), The Optimist (G.Cooke), Master Fox (S.Jennings), Cole's Decision (S.O'Reilly)-- S.P. 5/1, 6/1, 2/1 Joint Fav. Dist.: 1/2L, 2L.

Bachelor Boy was an easy winner of this. Led almost from the start, and it was nice to see also that Webbo may be getting back his form.

Race 6. 006/014. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:11-- Start Time: 16:10

Also Ran: Trackman (D.O'Reilly), You are the Man (D.Murphy), Henry Lee Sota (A.O'Reilly)-- S.P. 4/1, 6/4 Fav, 6/1. Dist.: 1L, 3L.

The Orient Express bounced back to his best form, and was given a clever drive to lead from start to finish, while Coalford Cobra raced well to take second.

Race 7. 015/035. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2.33 -- Start Time: 16:35

Also Ran: Russian Bear (J.Manning), Tusk (M.Goggin), Fool's Gold (J.Manning), By The Way (J.McCarthy) -- S.P. 4/1, 2/5 Fav, 6/1. Dist.: 1/2L, 1L.

In the shocker of the day, Disraeli Quest held off Stoneriggs Wizard, while Home At Last was a close third. Stoneriggs Wizard, a noted frontrunner, had to come off the back, appeared to try his utmost in the last lap, but could not get on terms.

Race 8. FFA. 500 Euro.

Race Time: 2:28 -- Start Time: 16:50

Also Ran: Just Kenny (W.McInerney), Sharpe (S.Jennings), Leterass de Perrier (G.Carey), Super Joie (A.Hamilton) -- S.P. 1/2 Fav, 4/1, 6/1. Dist.: 5L, 2L.

The Blue Fox led from start to finish, tracked by Coalford Jet. Just Kenny seemed to be in early contention but at the business end, yielded to Coalford Wizard; however, none of them got within hailing distance of The Blue Fox.
