Disraeli Quest led from start to finish. This veteran received the biggest cheer of the day, as he raced to four in a row sans headcheck, whip, pole or blinkers. Early on, Newtown Commander (in the back) had unseated his driver and caused some inconvenience but this did not affect the winner, which was drawn number one. Coalford Jet was in early contention; Coalford Wizard vied later but Home At Last proved the most consistent.
