Clodagh's Choice led from start to finish to drop her maiden tag. Behind her, Hilltop Beauty looked the most danger, but broke heading for the last bend. By halfway, Posh Paddy had moved off the back and was in 3rd spot behind Hilltop Beauty when that one went off stride.

Hillside Dream was only briefly headed by Enorm Girl in this (going into the last circuit). At the business end, Sable Decision, having seen off a hard working Enorm Girl, challenged and just failed to reel in the leader.

Master Fox led briefly, was soon overhauled by Southlands Merlin, which in turn, yielded to Disraeli Quest as they got into the 2nd lap. From then, the winner held sway, and was able to hold off Leckwith Gold's late challenge.

Cole's Decision led from the start. Duggan's Diplomat tried hard throughout most, but could not get on terms, and finally had to yield runner-up to Henry Lee Sota.

(4 laps). Mass Attack set the pace, but Newtown Commander soon took over. Mass Attack remained in close attendance until around halfway. Then Just Flash made his move and joined issue with Newtown Commander. After a prolonged neck-and-neck, it looked as if the grey would prevail, but going into the last bend, Just Flash forged clear.
