Race 1. Consolation Final - MNII. 500 Euro

Race Time: 1:56 -- Start Time: 14:50

Also Ran: Thomas Grey (J.Manning Jnr), Posh Paddy (K.O'Connell) -- S.P. Evens Fav, 6/1, 5/2. Dist.: 3/1L, 6L.

Thornton Missile set the pace, and No Better Buaichaill tucked in behind. They stayed like that until heading for the last bend when the winner went to the front. Thornton Missile fought back but No Better Buaichaill proved a shade too good.

Race 2. Consolation Final - 000/024. 600 Euro.

Also Ran: Decisive (P.Hill) -- S.P. 2/1, 6/4 Fav, 2/1. Dist.: 5L, 7L.

Maverick led from the start. Behind him, Difficult Decision tried to get on terms, while Trackman, up with the leaders broke near half way. You Are The Man made his move getting into the last circuit, but Maverick was in no danger.

Race 3. Maiden/Nov/Imp/Intermediate FINAL. 700 Euro.

As they sorted themselves out, Dakota Warrier tracked leader Howard's Lady, until going to the front halfway round the last. Newtown Prediction came with a late drive, while Snatch, having gone off stride in the early stages, did well to get back into the hunt.

Race 4. 000/024 FINAL. 700 Euro.

Hillside Dream impressed in this, the best race of the day. As they settled, Abbacrombie took over from Cole's Decisiion, with Hillside Dream lying in 4th behind The Bugler. Abbacrombie looked home and hosed, seeing off a brief challenge from The Bugler. As they got serious, Cole's Decision got up to join issue. But Hillside Dream, racing very wide, made his move when it mattered and got up to deny Abbacrombie.

Race 5. Novice/E Saddle. 500 Euro.

Also Ran: Commander Matt (M.O'Reilly) -- S.P. 5/2, 8/1, 4/5 Fav. Dist.: 3/4L, 6L.

Goldwell slipped up after about a circuit (jockey and horse unscathed) and a re-run was called over a shorter distance. Tiler's Joy made most of the running. Stoneriggs Vanity was in early contention, but it was Sable Decision, waited with, that took over at the business end. Destiny's Dream did not act on the going.

Race 6. C/D Saddle. 500 Euro.

Also Ran: Cole's Decision (M.O'Reilly) -- S.P. 1/3 Fav, 5/2, 6/1. Dist.: 15L, 6L.

Although Bytheway gave a couple of skips, once he took over from Cole's Decision on the back straight for the last time, it was all over, and he won, eased. Saunders Rhapsody ran a decent race here.

Race 7. All-Ireland Saddle Race 2005. 1,200 Euro.

Also Ran: Sharpe (A.Tanno), Master Fox (C.Duggan), Coalford Wizzard (J.O'Donnell) -- S.P. 2/5 Fav, 10/1, 5/1, 4/1. Dist.: 12L, 1 1/2L.

Not a vintage All-Ireland. The Blue Fox soon took over from Newtown Commander, but relinquished the lead when he came briefly off stride. Coalford Jet chased the leader but when The Blue Fox got going again, he took over and opened up the distance. Just Flash went well, but seemed to enter the fray in earnest too late. Second favourite, Sharpe hated the going and never got into it.

Saturday
