Black Magic led until about 2 from home. Thornton Missile had moved up, while Duggan's Jester and Howard's Lady were in early contention. Having gone to the front, Thornton Missile began to increase his lead, while the late effort of Tiler's Joy landed her in second, but she posed no danger to the winner. In this, Young Clemency showed he is beginning to improve.

Cam's Mathilda led them off, but after 2f, Little Spike tucked in behind her. Little Spike only went to the front on the back straight for the last time and went on for an easy win. Thomas Grey gave a decent performance in this.

Staly Princed was first to show, followed by Mass Attack. Sorting themselves out, Southlands Merlin went to the front, followed by Staly Princed and Mass Attack. They continued like that, until getting serious, Difficult Decision, which had been in the box, got going, but the winner and runner up were not to be caught.
