Summary of Meeting

Representatives on IHRC updated members on recent IHRC meeting

Upcoming Race meeting on Sunday in Ballabuidhe discussed at length

Review of ITHRF Safety Officers / Judges Panel

Drivers Meeting at 2.15 on Sunday prior to Races

Issues : Meet with Starter, Car Driver , Judges, General Safety Protective Gear

1st / 2^nd / 3 rd will parade after each race

New Race card format with more info for Race goers

Photographer to be present at each meeting

Amplification and Video to be organised for Sunday

Qualifiers will be run on Sunday giving a total entry of 40 Horses

More qualifiers will be next week on Friday so contact Violet / Angela

Jogging on Sunday will be subject to track conditions

After racing it would be appreciated if Horse owners gave some help with Track

Calender in Poster Form will be launched on Sunday

Summary of Horse Owners Meeting

A very worthwhile meeting at the Morris Arms last night with a considerable healthy attendance

The mood of the meeting was very positive which showed in the eagerness of owners to get their registrations in and get this seasons racing off to an encouraging start

An extensive Calendar of Racing was launched

Insurance cover again was discussed and its completeness was again very evident. Covering the  ITHRF, race committees, landowners ,Cork County Council as well as the personal accident policy to cover horse owners ,drivers , jockeys and any one who wishes to become a member of the ITHRF.

Afterwards IHRC registrations were taken (50 horses registered and more to come in)

There is an IHRC  meeting on  Sunday April 22^nd which our reps will attend

Also 62 ITHRF memberships were paid – Violet / Angela can be contacted here for all remaining

All Owners, Trainers , Jockeys , Drivers need to pay their ITHRF membership to cover themselves under the associations new personal accident insurance policy

Qualifiers will take place at  Ballabuidhe Track on Friday April 20^th  at 7 pm

(Horse Owners can notify Violet or Angela prior to qualifying ,Bring passports)

Qualifiers will organised again shortly to facilitate owners

It was also noted at this early stage that 8 road committees have given commitment to run for the winter 2012/2013 season

• Summary of Meeting
• Letters regarding legal matters were read out informing executive members on our present position
• Chris O‘Reilly gave a summary on the new insurance policy which as well as public liability cover will also indemnify the ITHRF, race committees, landowners and Cork County Council from any future claims. This policy will cover road and field meetings. There will also be a personal accident policy to cover horse owners ,drivers , jockeys .
• The sentiment from the executive felt that a meeting should be sought with the new proposed trotting group before any other issue is dealt with.
• The IHRC AGM was discussed and delegates were told to attend on Sunday, Portlaoise, 2p.m. A discussion took place on revenue from registrations and  this will be mentioned at the IHRC AGM and details will be brought back to inform our members.
• Matters from Horse owners AGM were discussed and will be re visited at next meeting
• James Levis, treasurer, gave a detailed report on the present financial standing of the ITHRF
• Discussions took place on race events for the upcoming season and all committees will be contacted shortly to arrange a meeting to update them on our new complete insurance

• Summary of Meeting
• Decision taken to inform all members of happening after each meeting on our website
• Discussion on Insurance to cover everyone. Sub committee set up to tackle this issue with immediate effect
• Registrations etc already taken for Winter road season will be rebated. A decision on the way it will be returned will be taken shortly.
• Executive Member nominated to over see message board on Website . Details will follow shortly
• Motions from AGM were discussed.
• IHRC AGM was discussed and delegates to represent us were selected. It was also felt that financial details from their AGM will be brought back to inform our members.
• Our Chairman Con O’Sullivan has already met with our Legal advisers to just get up to date on issues
• Sire Stakes and Aged races were discussed and will be discussed at horse owners AGM on Sunday Feb 26^th in Drimoleague Hall at 4pm
• Next meeting is arranged for Monday 27^th February.
